RBC Granfondo Whistler Course Flyover Video

The RBC Granfondo Whistler runs Sept. 7, 2024 – its 122km along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver to Whistler. The route leaves Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver at 7:00am (6:00am if you’re riding the “Forte” version with its added climb up Cypress Mountain), rolls over the Lion’s Gate bridge at sunrise and follows Howe Sound to Squamish before turning into the Coastal Mountain range and climbing its way to Whistler – all on closed roads. Here’s my recon and route breakdown from the helicopter flyover I did on race day 2023.

This unexpected view of the route is perfect preparation for both new riders and seasoned vets of this 15 year-old event – the largest cycling event of its kind in Vancouver.
