EVERFUN Hydration Backpack –$35.99

EVERFUN Sez: Whether you’re hiking, cycling, running, or engaging in other outdoor sports and treks, this backpack is designed to meet your needs. Its versatile nature makes it suitable for a wide range of activities, making it an indispensable companion for any outdoor enthusiast, allowing you to tackle various adventures with ease and confidence.

This hydro backpack features an ergonomic design with 3D vent mesh harness that effectively keep your load light, providing a comfortable and supportive carrying experience. The ventilated shoulder straps are lightweight and breathable, ensuring your back stays dry during extended use.

The included 1.5L leakproof hydration bladder is made from food-grade PEVA material. The 50 oz reservoir offers quick water flow, provides enough water for a two hour ride. The ergonomic design and high-flow self-sealing water delivery system make it easy to stay hydrated. The large opening of the reservoir also makes it simple to clean, designed for quicker loading and refilling.

Chuck Sez PEZ readers might remember my review of a different model EVERFUN hydration backpack. That one was larger — 18 liters for the main compartment and 3 liters for the hydration bladder — so the equivalent of school bookpack with a hydration bladder. This one is smaller — 4 liters and 1.5 liters, respectively — so more of a hydration pack that has some minimal carrying capacity.

I’ll let pictures do a lot of the talking.

Access to the small-ish back compartment via zipper (my daughter’s old iPhone 6S Plus for reference)

There are five pockets (one zippered) for small stuff on the arm straps

Zippered compartment for the 1.5 liter hydration bladder

Slide the handle off to open the bladder and fill it. Bite valve has a cover to helps to prevent damage and keep it clean when not using.

>>>>>>>There’s a sleeve at the top of each shoulder strap to route the hose from the inside of the main compartment

A clamp keeps the tube from flopping around when you’re not using it, but it’s easy to remove

Wearing the Everfun Hydration Backpack is like any other backpack. Slip your arms through the shoulder straps and adjust them for fit. If you need a more secure/stable fit, there is a chest strap that connects the shoulder straps and a waist strap. The back is padded, so comfortable, and allows for airflow to help keep your back dry.

From the back, it looks like a small backpack

Using the hydration bladder is pretty easy peasy: a simple bite and sucking on the valve delivers a flow of liquid on demand.

The tube is a giveaway that it’s a hydration backpack

The Everfun Hyrdation Backpack may not be an accessory for diehard roadies wanting to look EuroPro on their weekend shop/training ride. But I know more than a few riders who are bidon-challenged and can’t get water bottles in-and-out of cages while riding/drink while riding, so the Everfun Hydration Backpack is a solution for them. And it’s easy to see how it would be more than useful for ultra-endurance, gravel, mountainbike, and other off the beaten path adventure riding — such as PEZ’s il dottore aka Dr. Stephen Cheung’s 8 Years on Gravel: How I Transformed My Devinci Hatchet for Bikepacking Adventures.

Tomorrowland x Ridley Launch Holographic-Prismatic Collaboration Colorway

Ridley continue their iconic collaboration with Tomorrowland, launching a special edition of the high-end aero bikes Noah Fast and Noah. The paint is an eye-catching white paired with a magical, holographic-prismatic finish. Both models reflect Tomorrowland’s spirit of exploring the world together.

Available as a complete bike with a matching (oil slick/dark purple) chain or as a frameset (FFS). Each bike can also be fully personalized via the Ridley configurator. Riders may choose wheels, tires, cockpit, groupset, and saddle for a ride that’s truly their own. In other words: the unique magic of Tomorrowland x Ridley, tailored to your own performance needs.

Not just another glittery paint job.

Most striking about the bikes is the custom-developed holographic-prismatic finish, created exclusively for this collaboration in Ridley’s Belgian paint shop. In the spirit of Invenio, this newly developed paint technology combines two styles for the first time on commercially available road bikes.

Depending on how the bike catches and reflects the light, it shows a different side of itself. The holographic paint job expresses itself in the base layers of the bike, fluctuating smoothly from dark purple to warm blue to vibrant pink and all combinations in between. On top of this, a bespoke prismatic finish—specially tailored to the holographic base—brings a subtle spark to the bike, only to reveal its full color when struck by bright light, showcasing rainbow-style oil slick patterns throughout. This unique combination makes the bike feel alive, constantly changing in appearance, both in and out of sunlight.

Pair all of that with a clean and pure white base, featuring Ridley and Invenio touches in brushed silver, topped off with Tomorrowland-inspired details, creating a true piece of art. This handcrafted design is born of the collaboration between the two design studios and reflects the creativity and attention to detail that defines both Ridley and Tomorrowland.

High-end Carbon & Electronic Shifting

The Noah shares the same geometry and characteristics as Ridley’s Noah Fast but with a different carbon lay-up to make it accessible to a wider audience. With Vittoria tires, DT Swiss wheels, and assembled with a Shimano 105 DI2 2×12 groupset, the bike is available for €4,999.

The Noah Fast is based on Ridley’s most successful and fastest bike ever. At a speed of 50 kilometers per hour, the Noah Fast is 8.5 watts faster than its predecessor. This highlights Ridley’s deep-rooted commitment to aerodynamics, continuing their rich legacy. No wonder this is the bike of choice for the pro team Uno-X Mobility. With Continental tires, DT Swiss wheels, and assembled with a SRAM Force AXS 2×12 groupset, this top-of-the-range bike is available for €9,299.

The origin of INVENIO

Tomorrowland and Ridley are two of a kind—pioneers from Belgium, the beating heart of festival and cycling culture. In the summer of 2024, they presented INVENIO: a collaboration designed to empower people around the world to unite and explore together across all terrains.

INVENIO literally translates from Latin into “I discover”, “I find”, “I come upon”—perfectly describing what the collaboration between Tomorrowland and Ridley embodies. It’s about experiencing true freedom, embracing exploration, and sharing moments of friendship and adventure.

Last year, Tomorrowland and Ridley brought two gravel bikes to life through their unique partnership. Earlier this year, they expanded the range with two new groupsets, along with the launch of a bespoke cycling wear collection and cycling glasses. On August 1st, the journey continues with the introduction of Ridley’s high-end aero road bikes, the Noah and Noah Fast, crafted entirely in the same distinctive style.

The new aero road bikes will be available on August 1st on both the Tomorrowland and Ridley websites, at Ridley dealerships, and in Tomorrowland’s brand-new store in Ibiza. Each Noah and Noah Fast from this special edition will be delivered with a unique oil slick/dark purple chain that perfectly matches the design. For more info, visit www.ridley-bikes.com.

THE RITCHEY P-29er: A CHAMELEON IN TEAM COLORS

XC racer with suspension fork, flat bars and a dropper seatpost; drop bar adventure rig with a bump-eating carbon fiber seatpost; or rigid hardtail with a WCS Carbon Mountain Adventure Fork and a VentureMax handlebar, the Team Edition P-29er could be what you’ve always been dreaming of.

SAN CARLOS, California (July 16, 2025) The Ritchey P-29er could easily show up, throw down, or slip into most any mountain bike or gravel event because of its built-in “go anywhere” attitude, which mirrors Tom Ritchey’s own off-road ethos. Honor the P-29er’s XC origins with a SuperLogic flat bar and suspension fork, and take this ripper on your favorite twisty, technical singletrack. Or install a SuperLogic VentureMax handlebar and a WCS Carbon Mountain Adventure fork and get a fluid, stable ride for crossing countries (or even continents).

With a nod to its competitive DNA, the P-29er Team Edition fits up to 2.3” tires and has been designed around a 100mm-travel fork. Standard BOOST spacing along with stealthy dropper post routing and an ultralight forged tapered headtube put the P-29er in league with cross-country rigs that are prized for their proven design and practical upgrades.

But that’s not all. Sure, the P-29er can make old trails new again with some thoughtful component swaps but get this — add a purpose-built adventure fork with multiple gear mounts and a flared drop bar and go to the farthest of far-flung destinations or on that route that you and your best riding buds have been planning forever. There’s no better time than now for an adventure.

Like all of Ritchey’s steel frames, the P-29er Team Edition has been built with Ritchey’s proprietary triple-butted Logic steel tubing. Combined with its modern geometry, the P-29 Team Edition delivers a breathtakingly balanced ride – beautifully mixing a snappy and responsive soul with a comfortable and predictable personality. The P-29er Team Edition is the ultimate bike for riding off-road.

CAMPAGNOLO PISTA WHEELS

The name is the same, but everything else has changed: Pista wheels are tearing around velodromes once again.

Back in the early 2000s, they became a popular choice for training. Today, they return in a completely revamped version: lighter, more responsive and more precise, perfect for training and for cyclists just starting out in track racing, yet equally ready to shine at the highest levels of professional competition. They can be used as a set or paired with our Ghibli wheel, with which they share the same racing spirit, but differ in terms of practicality, particularly in terms of transport, maintenance and, above all, handling.

These qualities make them particularly well-suited to tactical and team-based disciplines, such as the Keirin or Madison, where bike control is everything

Campagnolo_Pista_byIzzurak-19

Campagnolo has a deep-rooted connection with track cycling, defined by decades of innovation, world records and Olympic success.

The new Pista wheels are not just a product of our technical know-how, they’re also the result of dialogue: with federations, coaches and athletes. With those who live on the boards every day, people who call the velodrome their second home.

AN INTEGRATED DESIGN: HUB, SPOKES AND RIM WORKING IN COMPLETE HARMONY

At the rapid speeds typically encountered in track cycling, power transfer, responsiveness and handling precision are crucial. Core principles that underpin this new design: a stiff, precise wheel that brings the thrill of racing to more cyclists than ever before.

Consequently, the hub, spokes and rim have been developed to perform in perfect harmony, operating as if they’re a single component. The aerodynamics, always essential, have been honed to perfection, right down to even the tiniest hidden details. The hubs feature a reduced frontal profile to minimize air resistance. On both wheels, the spoke nipples are housed inside the rim to further reduce turbulence as the wheel rotates. The rim features a 65 mm deep profile and is constructed from unidirectional carbon fibre: the composite fibers are arranged according to the distribution of load patterns to enhance rolling efficiency.

Finally, the Pista wheels come equipped with CULT ceramic bearings, delivering market-leading smoothness and reducing friction by 40% compared to conventional bearings.

ONE WHEEL, FOUR UNIQUE EXPRESSIONS

Four versions of the new Pista have been developed to provide optimal versatility and suitability across all indoor cycling disciplines.

Firstly, there are two rim options: a tubular version for those seeking ultimate lightness, and a 2-Way Fit version for tubeless compatibility. The latter, increasingly common even in velodromes, features a 21 mm hooked internal bed for greater compatibility and safety.

There are also two hub configurations:

    • one with a 100 mm front hub and 120 mm rear hub;
    • and the other, more modern, option with a 65 mm front hub and 100 mm rear hub.

CHAMPIONSHIP-LEVEL PERFORMANCE, EVERYDAY PRACTICALITY

Engineered for pros, these track wheels deliver peak performance without compromising on the practicality of easy transport and maintenance for riders who spend every day on the boards.
