Thank you all for the incredible photos you submitted to the 2024 Ontario By Bike Photo Contest. We loved seeing all of your cycling outings and adventures and all the fun stops along the way from every corner of our beautiful province. Everyone has a different take on what they find inspiring exploring Ontario by bike! This year, as always, with so many amazing photos it was a challenge to pick the finalists and winner.
We are very excited to announce the finalists of the 2024 and 9th annual Ontario By Bike Photo Contest and will be announcing one Honourable Mention every week followed by the Winner of the contest in February, 2025. Stay tuned for the winning photo!

2024 Photo Contest WINNER
βLake Huron near Southampton on the BT700β by Simon Batcup from Guelph, ON
Location: Southampton
Southampton is a beautiful coastal town in the Saugeen Shores municipality. If multi-day bikepacking and gravel and off-road adventures are calling to you, the BT 700 (BT = Butter Tart!) is an epic bikepacking route created by Matt Kadey and well worth taking the time to complete this bucket-list 700+km route. For other types of riding, the paved North Shore Trail is one of the most stunning waterfront trails in Ontario, connecting Port Elgin to Southampton with beautiful views over Lake Huron. Location: Whitby
Ride the gorgeous Lynde Shores Conservation Area on the Durham Region and Whitby section of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, a cross-provincial cycling route that follows a mix of trails and share roadways, mostly on separated trails through Durham Region. Location: Lake Country Oro-Medonte Rail Trail between Barrie and Orillia
Ride the the 28km Lake Country Oro-Medonte Rail Trail from Barrie to Orillia, passing forests, marshes and with some Lake Simcoe views closer to Orillia. This trail forms part of the 160km Simcoe County Loop Trail.Β For more information visit our Simcoe County Great Places to Cycle Page.

2025 Photo Contest
We know you love to explore Ontario by bike! Whether you are riding with friends or family, on a club ride, multi-day tour or afternoon spin, take the time to snap a few great photos featuring you and your bikes as well as places you stop.
Weβll be collecting the submissions all year, so take your time and get the shot just right! The winning photo is featured every year in the Cycling in Ontario / Le vΓ©lo en Ontario guide.
Submit your photo/s by email toΒ info@ontariobybike.ca before the contest closes on November 19, 2025. Be sure to include your name, where you are from and info on where in Ontario the photo was taken.
